Executive Producer- Job Description:

The Executive Producer will primarily serve as a leader and supervisor for the local festival team, while working closely with the Events Core Team. The operational duties of the Executive Producer include but are not limited to: selecting and supervising local team members and host groups, finding and securing venues for performances and workshops, creating an event timeline and production schedule, creating agendas for weekly team calls, and leading conference calls with event team members, marketing and promoting the event, coordinating all festival logistics through use of email, google docs, and Redbooth, and working with the Director of Events and the Treasurer to maintain budget expectations. This position will report to the Director of Events. This is a volunteer position with the potential for small honorarium

Required Experience 
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience managing and leading event teams 
  • 1 year or more of supervisory experience
  • Experience with contemporary a cappella
  • Knowledge of local performance venues and local vendors
  • Ability to work remotely, often via email and phone, as a member of a team
  • Ability to devote a minimum of 5 hours per week to the position, and 15-20 hours per week in the 3-6 months leading up to the festival
  • Ability to answer emails daily, and participate in regular conference calls

Additional preferred qualifications:

  • Familiarity or experience working with a non-profit organization
  • Demonstrated experience working on a virtual team for long-term projects
