In it's first week of public sales, the album has received purchases
from 28 states and 5 countries and has already reached two-thirds of
the album producers goal of $10,000 raised within one month.
"The amount of support seen for this project has been overwhelming",
album producer Matthew Bolling states, "Before we could even finalize
the track list and get the album into production, we had accounted for
over 500 CDs being distributed between the groups and online sales. In
addition to that, we've seen support from every major a cappella venue
out there."
The album was released for online digital sales this weekend through
acaTunes.com and released for sale through one of the internets
largest a-cappella music vendors, a-cappella.com. A-Cappella.com,
which sells over 6,000 a cappella albums, 3,000 sheet music titles,
and 400 college albums, will be sending out an email release to over
20,000 site users encouraging their support on the album in the coming
days.
In addition to the support from Virginia, regional and national
support is vastly expanding with feedback and support from collegiate
groups across the country. Bolling has announced that plans are under
way to determine the best way possible to gather and show the support
of these groups across the country. An online-only album may be
released allowing each of these groups to help in the effort to raise
money for Virginia Tech
Purchases and donations can be made via the official web site for the
