Fulfilling one of its long time dreams, Indiana's own Staight No Chaser wowed a sold out crowd at its rousing homecoming  Christmas concert this past Saturday evening at the Murat Theatre.  Performing for some of their earliest and most loyal fans, (many of whom have followed SNC since they were first formed  at I.U.,  Bloomington in 1996)  the ten member a capella group electrified an adoring audience with a program that showcased their outstanding vocal abilities, pop/jazz/rock/swing versatility and singular showmanship.

In a program comprised of songs and banter, replete with Indiana, I.U. and Bloomington references, this was a special concert that had a huge relevance to an audience that (based on its wildly enthusiastic response) obviously felt great pride and ownership for this group which ten years after it was disbanded: became famous via You Tube;  was discovered by  the head of Atlantic records: and has since become major recording and performing artists.  Based on comments made by SNC members throughout the show in which they continuously  thanked he audience for its unwavering support---it was made clear that the SNC is extremely grateful and humbled by success they could never have imagined possible.
