ADVICE SOUGHT for a new mixed a cappella group called RED HARMONY

Can you give them some guidance? Where can they find places to perform during the Holiday season?  How can they get the word out so people can find them to perform at their private parties or other types of paid gigs?  Paid gigs are what they're looking for mostly, but they haven't entirely closed the door on unpaid gigs just yet (they're still fairly new and any performance experience is, of course, paramount).  Check out the promo video they made back in July to promote their first concert to get an  idea of what they sound like - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBemqy70X3I  They also have other videos on youtube as well, including a video of their first performance of Jason Mraz's 'The Remedy')

PLAN AHEAD FOR THE NEW YEAR

The SPIZZWINKS(?) of Yale will tour in the SoCal area starting January 2, 2010 in Los Angeles, and seek gigs throughout Southern California until January 10th. Interested schools or churches (or other) should contact Daniel Turcza, their Business Manager, via email at spizzwinks@yale.edu or at daniel.turcza@yale.edu.  They will do a public concert at Windward School, 11350 Palms Blvd, Los Angeles 90066: tickets $10 at the door, 7 – 8:30 pm. I’ve seen these guys perform and they are classic collegiate fun.

Send your gigs, audition calls, CD release party dates, ticket offers, etc to: socalcasa@earthlink.net by Sunday October 25 at 8 pm, for a newsletter that will go out that night.
