Tuckermans at 9 (affectionately dubbed T9 by fans) competed against a number of other acts, included singers, dancers, and jugglers, in the restored Rochester Opera House. It was very rewarding to win top honors, adds Miller, but just to perform alongside so much area talent in that beautiful looking and sounding hall was a wonderful experience in itself. T9 per
formed two songs: Gone, originally by contemporary a cappella legends The House Jacks, and Zombie Jamboree, an early hit for The Kingston Trio that has long since become a contemporary a cappella standard.
