"Take some of the most respected names in a cappella. Then allow them to compile the best songs the a cappella world has to offer on one album. The result is what you would expect: Sing V is a masterpiece." - Tom Czerwinski, RARB

The Recorded A Cappella Review Board (RARB) recently released its overwhelmingly positive review of the latest installment in the "Sing" series, entitled Sing V: Groovus.  The compilation received near-perfect scores across the board, tallying six 5.0s and one 4.7 in the album categories.  These scores tie for the highest ever on RARB over the past ten years with just a few select and stellar albums (The Exboyfriends' "Karaoke Bar Brawl", Stanford Talisman's "Passage", Cadence's "Frost-Free" and "Twenty For One", and Tufts Beelzebubs'  "Pandaemonium").

CASA would like to thank Jonathan Minkoff, Tom Czerwinski, and Robert Dietz for their glowing, detailed commentaries on Sing V: Groovus.  The album, unveiled at SoJam 2008, features a collection of the a cappella community's most fascinating and compelling music.  As Czerwinski states in his review, the "Sing" series is a "no boundaries" compilation, pulling the best professional, collegiate, and high school a cappella tracks from both the United States and around the world.  The full review of the album can be read here: http://www.rarb.org/reviews/919.html.

The acclaimed Sing series, created and produced for the past five years by the Alliance for A Cappella Initiatives (AACI), is now a proud part of CASA's offering to the a cappella community since the two organizations merged in January of this year.  Get your group's latest recordings polished and ready because the announcement for Sing 6 is just around the corner!

"What else can I say besides "buy this album"? You won't find a better collection of twenty tracks that display such incredible musicality or emotional range. At least, not until Sing VI, anyway." - Robert Dietz, RARB
