Tunes To Teens sends free CDs to Kenya

Tunes To Teens has now gone global, sending its first overseas shipment of free CDs to choral students in Kenya.  The Concert Choir at the International School of Kenya in Nairobi will soon receive CDs from groups like the Nylons and Transit, as well as CDs from popular compilations like SING, BOCA, BOHSA, and winners of the CARAs.

This 15 voice choir will experience the sounds of contemporary a cappella, just like students from 89 other schools in the US and Canada have since 2003.  Over 5000 CDs from Tunes To Teens have inspired young singers to learn more about close harmony and music theory.  This free program is especially important in these times of dwindling school funding for music department programs.

Junior high and high school choruses anywhere in the world can receive CDs completely free of charge, thanks to generous sponsorships and CD donations.  Directors can email Chris Tess (tunestoteens@casa.org) to participate in this unique and energizing program.  More information can be found on the Tunes To Teens webpage (http://www.casa.org/ttt).
