First off, a hearty congrats to Mt. SAC Fermata Nowhere, this year’s ICCA International Champions!  That’s year 4-in-a-row that the West region has taken the finals.  Nice job, guys!

 

Also, it’s number 7 out of 13 years the ICCAs have been running that the West has taken the title.  Or 7 out of 12 years that there existed a West region in the competition! 

 

Previous West region Finals winners, as pointed out by The Acablog (http://www.acappellablog.com/2009/04/24/friday-factoid-the-winningest-region-in-the-iccas/), have been Stanford Talisman A Cappella, UC Berkeley Men’s Octet (twice – the only group to have won more than once so far), BYU Vocal Point, BYU Noteworthy, and USC SoCal VoCals.

 Pacific Jazz Choir, a mixed voice ensemble based in Yorba Linda (north Orange County), is seeking male voices (basses, baritones, and tenors.  Meets weekly and performs at community events, choral festivals, & concerts.  Singers must be able to sing close harmony, memorize music, have the ability to blend, and play well with others!
