HPU Toccatatones to perform benefit concert for Save the Music Foundation

Local A Cappella group seeks to benefit charitable organization by offering free concert to the public

High Point, NC, May 1, 2009:  On the evening of May 2nd, the High Point University Toccatatones will be offering a charitable concert in Hayworth Fine Arts Center to benefit VH1’s Save the Music Foundation.  One of the area’s premier male collegiate a cappella groups, the Toccatatones have been in existence since 2001 and have performed for all types of audiences, ranging from Fortune 500 professionals and professional sports teams to students and even former United States Presidents. Each spring, the group offers a free concert in the school’s theater to a typically packed-house audience. In their endeavor to continue being an active part of the community, they are partnering with the Save the Music Foundation in their upcoming concert to raise money for the continuation of emphasis on music education in our nation’s schools.  All eleven members developed their musical abilities in school and know the importance of such education.  Donations will be accepted in advance and at the door.  The concert will feature selections from all genres and decades of music and will last approximately two hours.  Appearing as the Toccatatones’ guest groups will be the Petal Points of High Point University and the Sweet Signatures of UNC-Greensboro. For more information on the concert or the Save the Music foundation, please check out the Toccatatones website at www.toccatatones.com.
