CASA - The Contemporary A Capella Society

Taiga is a young and energetic vocal group which was founded in summer 2005 when a group of girl friends noticed they shared the same interest: ethnic a' cappella music. Hard work on fall 2005 finally paid off. In January 2006 Taiga won a vocal group singing contest of Finnish Amateur Musicians’ Association. After that they have performed in many different concerts from small weddings to big stages. On spring 2007 Taiga performed as a guest in Espoo Male Singers’ spring concert at Tapiola hall. The video (on MySpace) is from the concert. In it Taiga sings a song called "Mitä me tytöt suremma" (What are we girls sorrowing), composed by their good friend Jukka Nylund.
