CASA - The Contemporary A Capella Society

As part of Region 16 of Sweet Adelines International, The Buffalo Gateway Show Chorus, is made up of 80 women between the ages of 20 and 90 who love to sing 4 part a cappella harmony. We are currently ranked 6th in the world which has qualified us to compete at the International Contest in Honolulu, Hawaii in November 2008.

We were most recently a nominee in the 2006 ArtVoice Best of Buffalo and received top honors with a score of 663 in April 2007 at our regional contest receiving 2nd place chorus and most improved chorus.

We have entertained thousands of music lovers at Kleinhans Music Hall, University of Buffalo's Center for the Performing Arts, Rockwell Hall, Taste of Buffalo and the Erie County Fair. Our group and quartets have appeared on the Morning Show with Kevin O'Neil, AM Buffalo, PM Buffalo and Adelphia Crossroads. We also have had the honor to sing with international recording star Lee Greenwood.

We perform at various functions all year including our annual show held at Depew High School in October, Singing Valentines in February and annual Cabaret held in March.
