(This group recently disbanded). Random Association is a mixed a cappella contemporary vocal band. Founded in 1997, this dynamic sextet of three women and three men brings infectious energy and fine musicianship to their repertoire of jazz, blues, R&B, pop, rock and original tunes. Random Association offers a broad range of material appropriate for any occasion—from private parties and special celebrations to business gatherings and annual corporate meetings—anywhere where classy, high-energy entertainment is desired. Random Association has received national exposure through it’s work with Paul Cooper, founder of The Nylons and Senior Advisor for the International A Cappella Festival, and has competed successfully in national a cappella competitions. Random Association’s first CD “Random Association” has received critical praise nationally. The song "You Win" off of thier second CD "Random Sample", was nominated for a Contemporary A Cappella Recording Award in 2002 for "Best Pop/Rock Cover Song". Random Association offers in-school programs to teach the joy of a cappella singing to young people.
