Talisman
Talisman is a group of singers dedicated to the sharing of stories through music. With a repertoire rooted in the musical traditions of the African Diaspora, we strive to reach across the many borders that fracture the cartography of today’s world and sing the living spirit of human struggle and celebration. In 2007, the group traveled to South Africa, where we spent ten days engaging in musical collaboration and education in primary schools and community centers surrounding Cape Town and Johannesburg.
