Raleigh, NC

Formed in 2005, transit is a dynamic new vocal band that emphasizes engaging live performances, inspiring recordings, and continual innovation of their art form. From beautiful ballads to soul-shaking funk, transit performs a wide variety of music sure to please even the most eclectic audience. Transit has been very busy in their short existence. In January, 2006, transit burst on to the Contemporary A Cappella scene with their debut single, "Hide and Seek." The group's incredible talent was quickly recognized as "Hide and Seek" received a nomination for the Contemporary A Cappella Recording Award (CARA) in the Contemporary Pop/Rock Category. After taking Runner-Up for the CARA in April, transit developed and put on their hugely successful a cappella seminars, "Sweatin' the Details" and "Lock It Up!" (www.recordosaur.us). Performing and teaching from the heart of North Carolina, to Washington DC, and all the way up to upstate New York, transit spread their brand of Vocal Band awesome up and down the east coast. In February 2007, transit released it's self-titled debut album and was again honored with 3 CARA nominations. The guys were not to be denied this time, however, bringing home the awards for Best Pop/Rock Album, Best Cover Song, and Runner-Up for Best Original Song.
