The Boston Regional competition is produced and sponsored by the Bubs Foundation, a non-profit organization that exists to benefit and promote music education programs in Greater Boston public schools.
The 2006 Boston Regional competition will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 7:30 pm in Cohen Auditorium of the Aidekman Arts Center on the campus of Tufts University. Tufts University is located in Medford, Massachusetts. The National Finals will be held on May 6, 2006 in San Rafael, California.
Groups ranging in size from a minimum of 3 to a maximum of 7 members are welcome to apply. To be considered for the 2006 Boston Regional competition, interested groups must send in a current demo tape or CD and a short group biography to be received on or before Monday, January 24, 2006. The demo tapes/CDs should contain at least 3 songs performed by the current group and must accurately represent the group's current repertoire, musical genre and overall sound. Groups are only permitted to apply to one regional competition per year.
