Cameron Stowe

When did you first become involved in a cappella? In what capacity?
Having been trained classically all of my younger years, my experience has only been with arrangements in a classical setting. I have been singing music my entire life, both in the private and public high school setting. I was fortunate enough to have been a founding member of an extracurricular small chamber vocal ensemble while in college.

When did you first become involved with CASA?
Last year - I was able to attend BOSS and look forward to the future!

What geographical area do you cover as a CASA ambassador?
Connecticut

What role do you play as a CASA ambassador and/or what role would you like to play?
I hope to curate and grow a community of resources, where people can network, learn, grow and perform for and with each other. Our Facebook group has over 350 people from around the state and beyond! Quite an amazing start!

What do you do for work and play?
Musician, by design. I like connecting with people over coffee. I love to travel. Fall is the best time of the year, bar none. I dabble in graphic design and editing work whenever I can and have been known to pick up a camera from time to time. Maybe I should just change my title to "creative professional?"

Tell us one thing about yourself people would be surprised to learn.
I never thought that, as an adult, I would love history much more than I did when I was a kid.

Favorite a cappella group?
Tough question - so many I could name! I can, however, list Rockapella as my very first exposure to a cappella from the days of the "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego" TV show!

Do you perform or did you perform with a group? Which one? Tell us a little about it.
I do; currently performing with a sextet, Mixology. As our tagline reads, Mixology is a "six-person vocal band that blends genres like jazz and barbershop with contemporary music to create its own unique style and sound." We are a relatively new ensemble and always look forward to pushing the envelope wherever possible.

Favorite type of music?
Literally, anything. I am open to anything.

Favorite a cappella concert?

So much awesome, how can you pick just one? That's not fair! :)
