Kaskeset
Literally translated, Kaskeset means "fish scales". The Bible states that a fish must have fins and scales to be Kosher. Get it? Fish scales? ... Music scales? ... Kosher? ... Jewish? ... Kaskeset is (SUNY) Binghamton University's Jewish A Cappella Group. The group was founded in 1996 as an offshoot and subcharter of Hillel/The Jewish Student Union of Binghamton University. Since then, the group has become one of the nation's premiere Jewish groups. A student body favorite, Kaskeset has performed in numerous events on the Binghamton University campus, as well as at temples, community centers, weddings and festivals far and wide.
