Fermata Town

Based out of Boston, MA, Fermata Town is a coed a cappella group that formed in the spring of 2009 and are one of the newest members of the Contemporary A Cappella League (CAL).

Fermata Town released its debut album, titled Hold That Thought, in December of 2012. Hold That Thought was nominated for four Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards (CARAs) including Best Pop/Rock Album, Best CAL Album, Best Pop/Rock Song (Circus) & Best CAL Song (Stereo Hearts). Hold That Thought received the CARA for Best CAL Album and the Runner-Up nod for Best Pop/Rock Song behind Pentatonix "Starships" and another Runner-Up honor for Best CAL Song behind Capital Blend's "Because".

The Townies competed in their first-ever Boston Harmony Sweepstakes in April 2013 and were crowned the Boston Harmony Sweepstakes Champions, earning the right and becoming the first CAL group to ever compete at the National Harmony Sweepstakes Final in May 2013. At the 29th Annual Finals, Fermata Town placed Third overall, winning Best Original Song honors for "Starting Line".

 Winners of the 2011 A Cappella Armageddon competition, Fermata Town prides itself on an original arranging style, high-energy performances, and the ability to balance work with fun even after college.
