Close Harmony Friends

Close Harmony Friends is the most known and oldest a cappella group in Slovakia, drawing their repertoire from rock, pop, jazz and gospel. The stage appearance of this mixed vocal ensemble is mature on choreography and well prepared show.

CHF was founded in 1990 and since that time has regularly graced concert stages at home and abroad, touring extensively throughout Europe, including Great Britain, Belgium, Spain, Italy/Vatican, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic, as well as Columbia, Mexico, Japan and both Eastern & Western seaboards of Australia performing in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Perth.

They also invited and made tours in Slovakia with The Idea Of North (AU), the Flying Pickets (UK), Cadence (CA). They collaborate with many Slovak pop and jazz musicians, inluding Slovak Chamber
Orchestra Bogdan Warchal and others. In May 2008, the group has been chosen as guests of Bobby Mc Ferrin's Slovak concert show to sing with him. They started a tradition in organizing a Slovak A‘Cappella Ball, which is an all-night-long dancing celebration going on in January, a meeting of their fans, with a cappella groups as a main program. The first year was in 2009 with Voxtet from Czech Republic as invited group, the second year in 2011 with Free Voices from Slovakia.

Up to now, Close Harmony Friends have recorded 7 CDs reflecting their talent and versatility and one DVD.
