CASA - The Contemporary A Capella Society

The goal is to get our audience up dancing and groovin' and singing along. Going for a funk-rock band sound, with typical collegiate a cappella group size, yet suited to the music club/festival scene. As we grow, we aim to do a huge variety of funky stuff, big on horn sections and rhythm sections. Think back to Tower of Power, Sly and the Family Stone, Earth, Wind and Fire, but also a bit more current and rocked out like the Red Hot Chili Peppers. From the 80s, we also have a big Depeche Mode medley.

All members are encouraged to contribute creatively through helping with song arranging, composition, lyrics, etc., so they feel the pride of ownership in what we perform.
