It was around this time last year that I sat in the backseat of my grandparents' Buick (typical?...yes) and realized that my all-female group continuously went to a cappella events and never REALLY had a lot of our concerns addressed. We'd sit in workshops about arranging and hear WONDERFUL examples of all-male and mixed arrangements but as soon as one of us would say "Well, I have to arrange for 17 female voices..." the answer would pretty much be "Yea, that's really hard." ...Thanks.

With Deke's encouragement, I'm starting a thread regarding sound equipment recommendations for live performance. 

Vocal Chords is the weekly a cappella and vocal music show from 90.3 KRNU at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, heard live on Friday mornings at 8 a.m., central time (GMT -06:00) with a replay in the same time slot the following Sunday morning.  Both the Friday and Sunday shows stream in real time on the station’s web site http://krnu.unl.edu or via the 90.3 KRNU stream in the college/university radio category on iTunes.
