Sloan E52's

The E-52s were formed in September 1999 by Stacy Jackson (MBA 2001) and Holly Tang (MBA 2000), who sought to form the first-ever official MIT Sloan School of Management singing group. The group is open to Sloan students and their spouses. We take our name from one of the buildings which make up the Sloan School—the Alfred P. Sloan building, affectionately known to MIT students and alumni everywhere as Building E-52. We made our illustrious debut at the Talent Show in fall 1999 and held our first Spring Jam in spring 2000, hosting the Yale International Singers and the MIT Logarhythms. The 2001 Spring Jam featured the Logarhythms and the Tufts Ambassachords. What are the E52s up to thesedays? We perform at a variety of Sloan events, including the Talent Show, Sloan Follies, Admit Weekends, the Faculty/Staff Holiday Party, C-Functions, Town Hall meetings and various club events. We have also performed at someone’s birthday party (and even got paid for it)! The group size varies between 12-15 performers and we are always looking for hidden (or not so hidden) talent within the Sloan community.
