One of New York City's premier a cappella groups, Restated (formerly Red States) prides itself on producing a powerful, audience-pleasing sound both in live performance and in the studio. The group was founded in 2007 as The Red States, part of CASA's Contemporary A Cappella League (CAL). The group has garnered critical acclaim and earned several awards, including Best CAL Song in both 2010 and 2011 (for covers of "Just Dance" and "Ordinary World," respectively), and Best CAL Album in 2011 for their debut album, No Political Affiliation. Still going strong after five years and a name change, this 14-strong group is dedicated to sharing its repertoire of rock, dirty pop and R&B hits all over Gotham and beyond.
