N.Y.C.D. (New York City Doo-Wop) was formed in Sarasota,Florida in 1994. The original members were Don Gucciardo, Al Brum, Dan Cositore and Phil Orapallo. Don Gucciardo, 1st Tenor/lead. Don is from ENY,Brooklyn and E.Setauket,L.I. Don was a solo act at several resorts in the Catskill Mountains of NY. Al Brum, bass / baritone. Al is from Coney Island, Brooklyn and has sung with numerous groups since 1959, The Cookies, The Blue Notes and The Camelots to name a few. Al has recorded with the Companions; A Little Bit Of Blue ‘61, The Attitudes; That Old Black Magic ‘65 and The Salutations; Doo Wop To Disco ‘80. Dan Cositore, 2nd. Tenor/lead. Dan is from E.Harlem and Holbrook, L.I. Chaparones; Cruise to the Moon, Shining Star. Phil Orapallo, 1st. Tenor, 2nd. Tenor/lead. Phil is from Howard Beach, Queens and Stony Brook, L.I. Phil sang with many groups on the street corners of NYC. Jonah Brum, 2nd Tenor. Jonah is an accomplished musician and song writer. He has always had a strong desire to sing acappella.
