MeteroMix Chorus

Metro Mix Chorus is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, a non-profit, educational organization promoting four-part harmony, barbershop style, for women. Metro Mix has been singing and entertaining in the Eastern Iowa area since 1964. Singing in one of America's original musical styles, the chorus has placed in the top five choruses at Regional Competition consistently throughout its history. We participated at the International Competitions held in Salt Lake City in 1989, in Indianapolis in 1992, in New Orleans in 1995, in Salt Lake City in 1997, in Atlanta in 1999, in Portland in 2001, in Phoenix in 2003, and in Detroit in 2005. The chorus is under the direction of Beverly Hamilton, Master Director. We draw our members from a broad geographic area including Iowa City, Coralville, Kalona, Washington, Keota, Cedar Rapids, Marion, Walker, Lisbon, Swisher, Solon, Grinnell, Muscatine, Tipton, Letts, Columbus Junction, Victor, Marengo, and West Des Moines, IA, and Sterling, IL.
