The Bowdoin College Meddiebempsters are the nation's third-oldest a cappella group and the oldest student organization at Bowdoin College, in Brunswick, Maine. Since 1937, the men of the Meddiebempsters have been entertaining audiences with their music as well as with their fun-loving stage presence. Singing everything from jazz standards to classic rock to oldies and up to today's pop, the Meddies perform for groups of all ages and sizes. The Meddies have always been one of the Bowdoin Community's favorite and most popular tickets, and regularly take their act away from Camp Bo-Bo. Notable past excursions include regular trips to numerous other colleges--including Colby, Williams, Wellesley (where the current Meddies plan to send their sons), and Mt. Holyoke-- as well as national anthems at Red Sox Games, domestic tours of the Southern U.S. and California, and even U.S.O. performances for troops in Europe.
