Lincolnaire Chorus

Under the direction of Pat Henry and Karen Randall, the Lincolnaires meet once a week to sing four-part harmony "barbershop style". Our goal is to educate women in the art of barbershop harmony, striving toward excellence at all times. Public performances allow us to share our love for this musical art form with those we entertain.

The Lincolnaires have a strong sense of community. Locally, we share our talent and love of barbershop-style harmony with our community at performances throughout the year and our annual show. We also compete with other choruses within Region #7 in the spring.

Other chorus activities include, a community show in the fall and performances for area organizations throughout the year. Also, as an ongoing community service, we perform at nursing homes and area churches.

The Lincolnaire Chorus has proudly represented their Sweet Adeline Region at International Competitions in Reno, Nevada (1994); Fort Lauderdale, Florida (1996); Nashville, Tennessee (1998 and 2002) and in Orlando, Florida (2000). The Lincolnaires are the 2004 Region 7 Division A 1st Place Medalist and 5th Place Chorus overall. The chorus was also excited to win the Region 7 Ruby Pike Award for the regional small chorus with the highest score in the sound category.

As members of a Sweet Adelines International chorus, we have the unique opportunity to increase our musical abilities, learn new skills, meet new friends and have fun while making a contribution to our community as part of a dynamic and vigorous organization.
