Li-Ron Choir

The Li-Ron Choir was established in 1980 as the choir of Gordon School in Herzliya by Ronit Shapira but since 1989 has been managed by an independent organization, and currently is the representative choir of Herzliya.

There are three ensembles in the choir:
-a Children choir which contains children on the ages of 6-11.
-a Youth choir of older singers on the ages of 12-19.
-a Vocal ensemble.

Since 1991 the choir has participated in several international competitions:
U.K, Hungary, Israel, Finland, Germany, Italy Spain and China.

The repertoire of the choir includes classical music, folk songs and Jewish and Israeli music. Israeli composers such as Sara Shoham, Andre Hajdu, Menachem Wiesenberg, Ovadia Tuvia, Moshe Rasiuk, Mary Even-or and Moshe Zorman, have written special choral works for the choir.
