In Unity has been a tremendous blessing to thousands of individuals around the world. Since the group began in September of 1991, they have drawn many people to God and to a trusting relationship with Him. IU has performed at various arenas including schools, youth rallies, convention centers, churches, hospitals, and other venues over seas. IU is Jesse Jackson, Brian Morris, Josh Samaniego, Sean Busby, Isaac Samaniego, Ace Eclar and Chris Wilson. Having seven members in the group has brought a very unique and diverse seasoning to the a cappella world. They have been able to incorporate different genres of music into their songs, ranging from Jazz, to Gospel, to Pop, and some R&B. The groups goal and purpose is to reach as many people as possible for God with the gift of music.

IU has traveled all over the United States ministering to audiences from San Francisco to Tennessee and from Michigan to Brownsville, TX. They have also ministered in Mexico, the Cayman Islands, and Taiwan. In 2001, the group was asked to give a workshop at the A Capella Summit in San Francisco, an annual meeting of major a cappella groups nation-wide. They were the only Christian group in the entire summit and were received by hundreds of individuals. Bringing a smooth, rich sound to the table draws many people to their concerts. This makes it easy for IU to minister, personally, after concerts and show individuals that being a Christian IS the best thing in the world!

In the fall of 1996, IU released their debut album, Once Upon A Chord This album opened up many doors for IU to minister across the U.S., including a 10 day tour in the country of Taiwan. The group has opened up for major artists, such as Anointed, Cindy Morgan, Fred Hammond, Donnie McClurkin, Chris Willis, Patty Cabrera, Six Pence, GLAD, Richard Smallwood, Virtue, and Acappella. The group has also performed on Good Morning Texas and Positively Texas (state-wide television programs), as well as on Net 98, a worldwide evangelistic television crusade for the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

IU released their 2nd album Life to You in the spring of 1999 and are currently in the process of writing new material for a third album. This is a very exciting and blessed time in our lives, quotes Sean Busby, baritone for IU. The group has pressed through many trials in its lifetime. Some of these trials would have caused most singing groups to disband, but IU has allowed the Lord to be its Guide and Help in the time of storm. Though the group has been together for over 15 years, they believe that the journey has only begun. IU's motivation for doing what they do is the simple fact that they love singing for the Lord and ministering for Him.
