Full Measure

Founded in the Spring of 1991, Full Measure was formed to bring a Christian message into the burgeoning a cappella scene on the University of Pennsylvania campus. The name "Full Measure" is derived from Paul's letter to the Ephesians:

"I pray that out of his glorious riches, he may strengthen you with power, through his spirit, in your inner being, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and high and long and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that you may be filled to the measure of the fullness of God." -Ephesians 3:16-18

In acknowledgement and celebration of God's sovereignty, by the power of the Holy Spirit, we seek to worshipfully compel others to know Jesus Christ more through music and our lives.

Full Measure is constantly seeking to define what it means to be a "Christian" a cappella group. We hope that we are not merely singing Christian songs, or putting on the "right Christian attitude". Instead, we hope to be inspired by the Holy Spirit, not our own ambitions, to spread the Gospel on Penn campus and the West Philadelphia area.
