Portland, OR

Founded in 2007 by four of Portland’s brightest young classical musicians, FourScore is out to reinvent the experience of classical chamber music by offering thoughtful, irreverent and frequently ludicrous mashup programs of musics from several centuries of styles, languages and traditions. Members of FourScore are accomplished Portland, Oregon-based singers Ben Kinkley, Ben Landsverk, Brian Francis and Stephen Marc Beaudoin.

The four members of the new classical manband FourScore met while performing together as members of Portland, Oregon’s acclaimed Trinity Consort, and are all accomplished Portland-based musicians with international performing credits. Tenor (and sometime soprano) Ben Landsverk is assistant conductor of the acclaimed Pacific Youth Choir and also a globetrotting string player (and former member of the Portland Youth Philharmonic), regularly working with Portland indie luminaries like Holcombe Waller and Rachel Taylor Brown; tenor Brian Francis is a longtime member of Portland’s Trinity Choir and Consort, and a former heavy metal band lead singer, with an opera background; baritone Ben Kinkley is a singer with experience ranging from early chant to barbershop; and tenor Stephen Marc Beaudoin has performed six centuries of early music, opera and music-theatre with ensembles including Opera Boston, Cappella Romana and Lyric Stage Company of Boston.
