BlackJaQ

BlackJaQ formed in October of 2004. Linda Nuttridge singing Baritone, Jess Bullen - Tenor, Kali Caramia - Bass and Carole Macintyre – lead. Each of them are proud members of the outstanding "Perth Harmony Chorus."

Carole, with over 20 years experience in the organisation & 5 quartet gold medals brought a wealth of experience to the quartet. Jess had also previously won a quartet gold medal and has been singing with Sweet Adelines since 1996. Both Kali and Linda brought over 12 years of barbershop experience to the quartet as singers and chorus leaders. BlackJaQ competed together in the Sweet Adeline International Region #34 Convention held in Adelaide, May 2005. This was Linda's first regional competition singing with a quartet! After only 7 short months of singing together they were very excited and proud to bring home the Championship Cup to Western Australia with a winning score of 592.

2006 saw BlackJaQ release their debut CD, “The Nearness of You” in time for the annual Sweet Adelines Convention in Brisbane, Queensland. They competed for a second time and brought home the Silver medal. BlackJaQ continues to strive for improvement in their singing and performance skills as they look forward to the next convention, Brisbane, May 2007.
