Bell Tower Boys

The BTB was organized in the fall of 1996 by a few young men who recognized the popularity of such groups at other colleges. The Bell Tower Boys meet twice a week to practice their music and made their singing debut on Parents’ Weekend in October, 1996 in the annual Furman Talent Show. The audience and judges fell in love with the voices of the group as the Bell Tower Boys went on to win first place. Following their debut, the group quickly caught the attention of the entire campus. Twelve years later, The Bell Tower Boys still meet twice a week for two hours to rehearse their music.The BTB was organized in the fall of 1996 by a few young men who recognized the popularity of such groups at other colleges. Since their debut, the group has entertained audiences in coffee house performances, has served the President of the University in numerous performances for the Administration and Trustees, and maintains a full schedule of bookings for private events, mostly in the Greenville community, as well as various on-campus appearances. In May 1998, The Bell Tower Boys released their self-titled debut CD. The album featured 17 tracks, offering a variety of popular secular and Christian titles. The following Spring, the group hosted the first annual Furman University A Cappella Invitational to raise money for charity.
