The Madhatters warmed a cold evening Saturday at the Nicolet College Theater.

The award winning a cappella group from the University of Wisconsin-Madison mixed charming patter with great singing to entertain a sold-out audience.

The evening's fashion statement was made for below zero with wool vests, fleece, and stocking caps. The audience showed their mettle as they braved the weather to hear the young men from Madison.

Having fun is part of the deal for these performers. Joe Salvo is Music Director. He runs rehearsals and does the arranging for the group, but he is not the boss. Salvo said, “We are a democracy, everyone has a say. I guess I'm the Dad. We are a big family, that's one of the strongest qualities of the group. We're brothers.”
