Not just one, but two, a cappella groups from Beverly High School will compete in the state finals of the National Championship of High School A Cappella — only seven high school groups from throughout the state were chosen to complete.
Achieving that level of excellence takes work and lots of it.
First, students must audition. Then, just as other teams require practice, practice, practice, so, too, do the choral groups. Hours of rehearsals go into producing music judged to be among the best. Add to the practice time, travel time and performance time.
But the high school’s singers are used the work and to the accolades.
