We have recorded ring tones, button sounds, and entire songs that are embedded in LGE's new cellular phone models KV2400, LV2400 and SV240, that will be released in South Korea around September 10. Whenever you press a button on the "A Cappella Phone" you will hear us sing something! September 25-28 we will go to Korea to join the launching campaign."
The Ontario Trillium Foundation recently awarded more than $200,000 in grants to various organizations. $15,800 was awarded for the purchase of equipment to improve public awareness of and expand the activities of the St. Thomas Chapter of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America Inc.

Another addition to a cappella used in advertising: Bazooka bubblegum. http://bazookajoe.com/. This time performed by Brooklyn quartet Tha Heights (www.myspace.com/heightsboyz), who also appear in the commercials. Apparently the song and dance have been a camp staple for years. The ads are set to run on Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Nick at Nite and ABC Family for the next six weeks. Bazooka joins several other products in their use of a cappella in ad campaigns: Astelin (The GrooveBarbers), Cool Whip (Ball In The House), Folgers (Rockapella), Meiji (Japanese candy) (Vox One). Have I forgotten any?
