When the Music Booster organization at Allendale High School (just west of Grand Rapids, Michigan) decided they wanted to offer a concert series to raise money for the band and choir programs, they knew that they needed to provide concerts that would draw people in. They also knew that they had to provide shows which audiences could afford, and which would still be able to make some money for scholarships and a future Florida performance.

A couple of the parents, being a cappella fans, suggested Rockapella. Working through their agent, the Music Boosters were able to schedule Rockapella for an April 23 concert in their new Fine Arts Center. A local a cappella group, After School Special, made up of Grand Valley State University students, will open the show.

“We are very appreciative to Rockapella and their management for their willingness to come to Allendale for this show. We have received ticket requests from across Michigan and even two neighboring states. With $20 tickets and a new 750 seat theater, we are anticipating a sold out show.” Jim Crawley, President – Allendale Music Boosters.
