Rocky Mountain Harmony Sweepstakes Seeks Participants

The 17th annual Rocky Mountain Harmony Sweepstakes A Cappella Festival is scheduled for Denver, CO on March 18, 2006 at Ranum Auditorium. Tickets to the program are available at www.ticktweb.com (search harmony sweepstakes).

However, vocal groups who wish to be considered for the festival by our audition panel must submit their applications not later than January 17, 2006.

The Rocky Mountain Regional Competition is one of eight contemporary a cappella contests across North America, from which the winners are flown to San Francisco for the May 6 International Finals. For information on the regional competition nearest you, go to www.harmony-sweepstakes.com.

If you are within range of Denver, go to www.cvjs.org and click on the Harmony Sweepstakes logo, you'll find a pdf to download with the information and application form you need to complete and send along.

This year's Rocky Mountain Sweeps will be exceptional: the same basic format, but with new attributes, new prizes and a great new hall to enhance your performances. Check out our website and call 888-WIZ-CVJS if you don't find what you need. Here are some quick guidelines:

Groups of 3 to 7 only, with member names
Any a cappella style or genre is eligible
One group photograph, preferably color and digital (jpeg)
One CD, audio or video tape, or DVD of your group performing
$10 audition fee per group member (to be returned if not selected)
A typical set list of selections you may choose to perform (or may change)
