Hello everyone!
Time for another report from the Board. The meeting on Saturday was very
productive. Topics for discussion included a CASA podcast, online radio, and
board officer elections.
The contested "race" this year is that of President. The two nominees are
Jonathan Minkoff, our current president, and Deke Sharon, our founder. We are
very fortunate to have a choice between two people who are very active in the a
cappella community, and have made huge contributions to the progress of a
cappella music.
My question to the Ambassadors is what would you like to see for the future of
CASA? What is working, what is not? What changes would you like to see, and
what would you like to see more of? For the future, I would like to see
Ambassadors (and eventually Members) included in this voting process, but for
now, you should at least be heard through your board representation.
Also, this would be a good time to talk about how you see yourselves
contributing to the a cappella community in the future, and how CASA can
support your endeavors. Are you getting the support you need now? How can we
improve?
If you would like to voice support for one candidate or the other, please do so
by personal email to Stef (stef@casa.org) and I (joe@vermontvocals.org). We
would love to know what you think. In fact, email us on any topic!
The holiday season is upon us, which means a lot of celebrating and singing!
Here is to wishing everyone a very prosperous and harmonious future.
