I have to be honest: Before I encountered the Hyannis Sound I wasn't the biggest fan of a cappella. The reason is competition. How do I possibly compete with guys who can sing?
I went to one a cappella show this past year at school and watched, my mouth agape with horror, as the girls in the audience swooned like their favorite boy band had come to town. I would start crooning myself if I could, but I simply don't have the voice for it, so I remain bitter. That is, I remained bitter until I met the guys of the Hyannis Sound, which performs concerts around the Cape each summer.
