Barbershop quartet creates harmonious blend |

Four men surrounding a salon stool harmonized their voices into one melody as rain drizzled down the windows of a local barber shop on a stormy April evening.
A quartet from south-central Indiana singing group, The Chordlighters, the men sang to attract newcomers as they strive to keep alive one of America's early music forms: barbershop.
"It's the thrill of the chords that gets you hooked," said Lyle Pettigrew, choir director. "That sound gets you addicted."
The group gained momentum in February, bringing aboard four new members from an open audition in Franklin.
