The noteworthy Cherry Hill High School West 11-member boys a cappella vocal ensemble won its third consecutive semifinal in the International Championship of High School A Cappella.
The group captured the Northeastern division semifinal in its auditorium, besting groups from North Jersey and three other states. It will now try for a second three-peat -- the national championship.
Men of Note is the only high school group to win the championship. The event is sponsored by Varsity Vocals, an umbrella organization responsible for programs aimed at high school and college a cappella groups. It expanded competition to the high school level in 2006.
