A Cappella Concert sings a perfect fifth |

Is it sacrilege that the finest moments of last Saturday's Collegiate A Cappella concert were solos?
After all, the event is, if nothing else, a celebration of harmony, a glorious display of young people working together, blending, creating together.
Well, Saturday's concert was all that -- but there were moments when it soared ever higher -- and those moments came in three solos.
At the pinnacle was Penn Rosen's passionate and triumphant solo in Rufus Wainwright's "Go or Go Ahead" with the Tufts Beelzebubs. Many of us have seen Penn blossom from bright promise to confident maturity before our eyes. Clearly, that track has continued in his time at Tufts. That he is a freshman with three more years with the 'Bubs and more to come after that is marvelous to contemplate.
