HUNTSVILLE, Alabama -- There is a good reason the Huntsville singing group Committed didn't check out their new album on display as it was released to stores Monday.
"We haven't had a chance to do that yet," group member Maurice Staple said Monday afternoon. "We're on the road driving from Pittsburgh to New York because we're doing the 'Today' show."
Indeed, that sounds like a good reason.
Still, that didn't mean Monday wasn't a special day for the group, which originated at Oakwood University and won NBC's "The Sing-Off" in December that came with a Sony recording contract.
Already this year, the group has released its first single "Break Free" and shot a video for the song. And now comes the self-titled album.
