VMSIX the Namibian local acclaimed international and award winning A Cappella group to host the first ever International A Cappella Festival in Africa, VMSIX is represented with one Female and Four men. From 29-31 August at Safari Hotel and Warehouse Theater, VMSIX and Sanlam Investments Namibia will present the first ever international A Cappella Festival in Africa this event will take place in Windhoek Namibia

Festival highlights will include: World-class headline acts, Rajaton from Finland, Postyr project from Denmark , No Limit from South Africa as well as festival hosts the Vocal Motion Six (VMSIX).

RAJATON from Finland the six-member a cappella vocal ensemble has performed around the world concert halls, jazz festival. Rajaton has won the hearts and acclaim of audiences and critics worldwide making them a phenomenon on the world stage. At this festival Rajaton will give workshops to benefit 100 Namibian singers.

Postyr Project from Danish vocal innovators to headline Friday. The five part vocal group was founded due to a deep desire to explore the borderland between the softness and vitality of the human voice and the uncompromising roughness of electronic music. They are creating new music and new arrangement techniques that make use of electronic equipment such as loop stations, kaoss pads, laptops with cutting edge music software. No Limit, the group was formed by Thembela, Mpumi, Wandile, Nomvula and Thuli in Soweto 1995 The vision has carried on for the past 18 years, throughout the greater impoverished communities of Africa and abroad, spreading God’s love for mankind

This is the first time we host such an event, there are opportunities for all to get involved whilst experiencing the world’s finest vocal groups in Namibia.

Festival shows

§  30 August 2013, 19:00h for 20:00h at the Warehouse Postyr Project from Denmark to headline. Tickets available at N$100 in advance and N$120 at the door.

§  31 August 2013, 19:00h for 20:00h at the Safari Conference Centre. Tickets available at Computicket at N$170 advance and N$180 at the door. N$300 VIP
