A pair of local musicians will be harmonizing their way into your living room next week.

Tiverton natives Paul Lopes and Tom Duarte are members of the group North Shore Acappella, which will appear on the NBC show “The Sing-Off” Monday at 8 p.m.

Joined by Boston-area residents Jimmy Martin, Vinny Straccia and Guy Chiapponi, the group has been in existence since 1980. They perform a blend of harmony, rhythm and tempo, singing songs from the 1940s to more contemporary offerings at venues across New England. North Shore Acapella has opened for legendary acts like The Temptations, The Platters, Ben E. King, Johnny Maestro, Al Jarreau, Roberta Flack, Frankie Vallie and Gene Pitney.

With gigs becoming harder to come by, the group decided to make a big push for some publicity. Straccia learned about a regional tryout for “The Sing-Off” being held at Emerson College in Boston this spring.
