COGNITIVE RESONANCE (http://CognitiveResonanceACappella.com), a mixed a cappella group in Raleigh, NC, is holding auditions! We’re looking specifically for a versatile female voice who can hold her own on both Soprano and Alto parts, and a Tenor with a good upper range. We're also looking for a strong dedicated Vocal Percussionist.
Auditions will be held on Saturday, June 18th in Raleigh. We are looking for people who are:
-flexible on voice parts and capable of ensemble blending
-comfortable singing vocal solos and not afraid to perform on stage
-solid musicians able to learn new music quickly (sight-reading is a plus!)
-ready for a serious commitment and dedicated to rehearsing weekly and practicing on their own time
-willing to travel occasionally to regional/national events
Previous a cappella experience, vocal percussion, and arranging skills are all definite bonuses. We rehearse on Wendesday nights in Raleigh, are a member of the Contemporary A Cappella League, and our current repertoire ranges from current Top 40 hits to indie gems to classic favorites.
