Introducing the Franklin & Marshall Chessmen!
Or at least re-introducting. While the group has been around for a while, we are trying to create a higher and wider-reaching profile for ourselves.
The Chessmen are the 15 dashing members of Franklin & Marshall College's only all-male a cappella group. They pride themselves on their good looks and ability to vocally disrobe any female within earshot.
Most importantly, however, the boys live under the philosophy that C-Men stick together. Aw. How adorable.
But in all seriousness, up until now the Chessmen have enjoyed a great group of fans on our own campus at F&M. However, aside from an occasional trip to a nearby college for a one-night joint concert, that's been about the extent to which the group has gained recognition. We haven't won any CARAs or been to the ICCA Finals. We don't have a fancy Bubs-esque resume to tout.
What we do have is the ability to start a journey of success, and we are inviting everyone and anyone in the aca-verse to join us.
