HomeGroupsThe A Cappella Project - PhiladelphiaCartoon Johnny Headlines the Third Annual Project-Philly A Cappella Winter Workshop

Two-time Harmony Sweepstakes finalists Cartoon Johnny (www.cartoonjohnny.com) will be the featured performers and guest clinicians for the Third Annual A Cappella Winter Workshop sponsored by The A Cappella Project – Philadelphia on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Lower Merion High School in Ardmore, PA. Cartoon Johnny will be working hands-on in private masterclasses with attending contemporary a cappella vocal groups from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland. Individual singers can also attend a series of workshops provided by Project-Philly’s professional music educators and the members of KeyStone A Cappella (www.keystoneacappella.com), a local semi-professional group.

In between workshops and masterclasses, attending a cappella groups will have an opportunity to perform informal 15-20 minute sets for all attendees. Groups can also submit an audition recording to be considered for two opening act positions on the evening concert, which features Cartoon Johnny as the headliners.

Workshops and masterclasses are open to all high school, collegiate, post-collegiate, and community a cappella groups from all over the greater Philadelphia area and surrounding states. Admission prices are ridiculously affordable for an entire day of great information on all aspects of contemporary a cappella performance and management with seasoned music educators and a cappella performers.

The evening concert is open to the public and begins at 8 PM in the Lower Merion High School Auditorium.

The A Cappella Winter Workshop is sponsored by The A Cappella Project – Philadelphia, (www.projectphilly.org) a non-profit charitable organization promoting contemporary a cappella singing in the greater Philadelphia area.
