SYRACUSE -- You might call it the unlikely couple: social media and a cappella. But at Syracuse University this weekend -- it's the perfect match.
The Social Media and A Cappella Conference is one-of-a-kind -- and brings together professional and student a cappella groups from around the country.
"We kind of think of it as a conference of innovation," said conference founder Megan Alexander. "It's taking a very innovative form of music ,using just voice, a cappella...and social media -- which is very innovative and a new form of marketing -- and combing the two."
Many groups I spoke with tonight say social media sites, like Facebook, Twitter and Youtube, give them the control to expose themselves to large audiences with just a few clicks.
